Mr. Stocking's Science Class
Who is Mr. Stocking?
Hello! I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico but have lived in North Carolina for most of my life. I was raised in Durham, NC and the majority of my family is still in that area. Upon the completion of high school, I moved to Charlotte, NC and attended Queens University of Charlotte near Uptown as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a double minor in Secondary Education and Physical Science from Queens in 2014. This is my third year at Carolina International School and I am excited about being your teacher this year!
Hobbies
I love being outdoors and will occasionally go hiking when I can get some free-time. I am an avid sports fan and enjoys all sporting events and competitive sports. My favorite teams are the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Rays, Auburn Tigers, Duke Blue Devils, and Durham Bulls!
Fun Facts
I absolutely love to travel. I try to spend some time every year in another country, but haven't been able to get away in 2019. I have had the pleasure of visiting many cool places including El Salvador (6 times), Hawaii, Guam, and Yap. I hope to visit Europe in the coming years. My lifelong dream is to completely fill my passport but I still have a significant way to go.
My first job was for a minor league baseball team (Durham Bulls) while I was in High School and College. While working for the Durham Bulls, I fell in love with the game of baseball and hope to see a baseball game in every professional baseball stadium in America.
