Welcome to Zoology!

Hello, and welcome to Zoology at Carolina International School! My goal is to guide you to success in this class. On this website you will find various resources and class documents that you will need throughout the course. Please, feel free to browse the site and get acquainted with the various parts of the site.

Below you will find my class rules and expectations. You will be responsible for adhering to all school and class policies.

Class Rules:

  1. Respect is excepted from everyone towards all objects and people.

  2. Come prepared to class with all materials, homework, and classwork.

  3. Cell phones are not permitted at any time during class. If I see it, I take it. Arguing with me will quickly escalate the situation to an administrative referral.

  4. Classroom technology is not a right - it is a privilege. Abusing the technology, either through rough handling or improper use, will result in a loss of this privilege.

  5. Leave the classroom the same way (or better) than you found it. It is not the job of the custodial staff, nor I, to clean up after you.

  6. Take ownership of your education. Your grade is a direct representation of you and you are the only one that can truly affect it.

Class Expectations:

  1. One and Done - If I say something, I shouldn't have to repeat it. This includes both instructions and re-directions. If I tell you to do something, do it.

  2. 100%, 100% of the time - I expect everyone to participate everyday. If you are having an off day, tell me before class or raise your hand during warm-ups and tell me. If I call on you, it is expected that you answer.

  3. "I don't know" is NOT a valid response to any question in my class except if I ask "What is the opposite of I do know?" You are expected to try.

  4. It is OK to be wrong, but you must try.
